Bing tin toys from Nuremberg from 100 years ago

Faszination Modellbahn International Fair for Model Railways, Specials & Accessories Bild Spur 1 SPZH Freinsheim uai

The Friends of the Toy Museum Freinsheim/Pfalz (Bing Museum) present a rare gauge 1 layout from the years 1900-1928.

Some vehicles are on the road with real steam. The Jewish company Bing from Nuremberg was once the largest toy and tinware manufacturer in the world. It did not survive the Great Depression of 1929 and the political changes that followed, and the group was gradually broken up. Stephan Bing continued the Bing Miniature Railway in 00 gauge under the TRIX company as well as TTR (after fleeing to England). Other Nuremberg manufacturers took over parts of the company or machines and personnel. The bath furnace plant became the Bing carburetor works.

The show layout also features steam engines and operating models, as well as buildings and accessories from the Bing range – all over 100 years old.

Lively activity with old technology as well as extensive information about the almost forgotten company Bing await the visitors.
